Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) Print
The fund uses the revenue from the Aggregates Levy to make the use of recycled and secondary materials more viable.

What does the Grant Support?

The Aggregates Levy reduces demand for primary aggregates by increasing their cost and makes the use of recycled and secondary materials more viable. This fund uses the revenue from the Aggregates Levy to address those environmental impacts.

The Levy raises roughly £300 million per year and some £30 million is available for grant funding in England.

The ALSF has the following objectives:

- Minimising the demand for primary aggregates
- Promoting environmentally friendly extraction and transport
- Addressing the environmental impacts of past aggregates extraction
- Compensating communities for the impacts of aggregates extraction

Who is eligible to apply?

Any individual or organisation that has a project proposal that addresses the ALSF objectives.
