Grants for Listed and Historic Buildings Print
English Heritage runs a number of grant schemes which are administered regionally although few are available to the private owner.

General Information

English Heritage gives a particular priority to redundant ecclesiastical and agricultural buildings, coastal defence structures and listed structures in grade I and II* registered parks and gardens. Other buildings and monuments on the English Heritage regional Buildings at Risk Register with a demonstrated conservation deficit will also be considered. In exceptional circumstances they will also consider applications for the repair of grade II buildings at risk in conservation areas.

Your local District/Borough Council may also have funding and advice on the maintenance and conservation of historic buildings.
